Onyé Ryans is a remarkable individual whose life journey has transformed her into a living testimony of resilience and strength. Having faced the harsh realities of homelessness and other enduring life challenges, Onyé emerged as a beacon of hope through her involvement with organizations dedicated to empowering marginalized youth. Introduced to the HYPE Center during her youth, Onyé found solace and support at AnnieCannons, where she not only became a HYPE youth member but also assumed the role of a provider. Despite her own challenges, Onyé embraced the opportunity to educate Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) survivors on the intricacies of web development.

 At AnnieCannons, Onyé wore the dual hats of an educator and a student, proving that her thirst for knowledge and determination knew no bounds. Her journey took an inspiring turn as she became an advocate at MISSSEY, using her experiences to stand up for others who have faced similar struggles. As a STAND (Survivors Taking Action for a New Day) Advocate, Onyé dedicated herself to educating black women and youth on the dangers of CSEC, demonstrating a profound commitment to breaking the cycle of exploitation.
