NATASHA SINGH

Natasha Singh is a sexual literacy educator and writer who speaks widely on sexual ethics, sexual exploitation, and ending gender-based violence. She works as an educational consultant to schools, parents, and students to create curriculum and education that addresses sexual assault prevention, consent, porn literacy, toxic/mindful masculinity, healthy relationships, and sexual literacy. She is the Co Founder of Asha Rising, a nonprofit that provides permanent housing for elderly women who have aged out of the sex trade in India. She co chairs the board of Center for Domestic Peace, a Marin-based nonprofit whose mission is to mobilize individuals and communities to end domestic violence, and she serves as an advisor to the Gaines-Jones Education Foundation, which is dedicated to providing advocacy and scholarships to African American youth.  Natasha’s writing has appeared in several publications including the The Atlantic, the Modern Love Column of the New York Times, Threepenny Review, Crab Orchard Review, South Asian Review, Proximity, Good Girls Marry Doctors: South Asian American Daughters on Obedience and Rebellion, and several other anthologies. Natasha is a two-time recipient of the Canada Council Grant for creative nonfiction and a recent winner of the Barry Lopez Prize for creative nonfiction.
