We are committed to thoughtful innovation. Because of the way nonprofits are traditionally funded, it is typically hard to spend time on “research and development” of new ideas to move the needle on any given issue. We are fortunate to be able to spend time on pilot development and are committed to sharing our learning openly — the "good" and the "bad." We partner with existing providers and youth to develop these pilots and tools, and to bring them to life.
FOSTER CARE PILOT
Freedom FWD is currently developing a new model for family-based foster care to support San Francisco pre-teens and teens who have endured the most, and yet experienced the least stability.
IAmJasmineStrong is a youth-to-youth website and animation that supports youth in the Bay Area in learning about sexual exploitation, connecting with resources, and knowing they are not alone.
PARENT CONVERSATION GUIDES
Developed in response to focus groups where youth wished their caregivers and parents had spent more time talking to them about safety and healthy relationships, these free guides were developed by a survivor of trafficking.
